It is understood little Willow Dunn may have been deceased for some time.
A four-year-old girl, whose father has been charged with her murder, may have been dead in a Brisbane home for some time before her body was discovered on Monday morning.
The girl has been identified as Willow Dunn.
Her 43-year-old father Mark James Dunn has appeared in Brisbane Magistrates’ Court charged with her alleged murder on May 23, two days before her body was found.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in court again on July 20.
It’s understood the child may have required medication but did not receive it and may have been malnourished, Radio 2GB reported.
As police continued to investigate the crime scene on Tuesday, images of the house where the girl allegedly died showed a teddy bear in a window and an empty stroller on the lawn behind police tape.

Emergency services responding to a Triple-0 call arrived at the home on Bent St in the eastern Brisbane suburb of Cannon Hill around 9.30am on Monday
The girl was already dead and detectives closed the entire street as forensic officers began an investigation into the tragic death.
Tradesman Trent O’Brien who was working on a nearby home, told The Courier Mail at least 10 police officers had attended the home.
He said five people, including a child in a nappy, appeared to have come from inside the house when paramedics and police arrived.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue.
