Recovery mission over

California police confirmed they recovered the body of Naya on July 14th after the 33-year-old actress and mother vanished last week after she rented a boat with her son.

It has been reported that the star tragically drowned after possibly getting caught in the lake’s strong currents and managed to push her son back onto the boat safely before she was unable to save herself.

According to the coroner’s report, no drugs or alcohol played a part in her death.

Following the five days of searching, Naya’s family released a statement expressing their heartbreak and gratitude to all those who have helped during this difficult time.

“We extend endless gratitude and ovation to the heroine who found her,” the family said.

“Thank you to her friends, colleagues, and fans for your continuous support. Heaven gained our sassy angel. We kindly request that our privacy be respected during this very difficult time.”
